Get a Professional QuoteWhen "General Liability" Isn't Enough
For professional service providers, the biggest risk isn't someone slipping on your office floor—it's a client claiming your advice caused them a financial loss.
Standard business insurance covers bodily injury and property damage. It does not cover claims of negligence, mistakes, missed deadlines, or undelivered services.
That is why Professional Liability (also known as Errors & Omissions or E&O) is critical. Whether you are a CPA filing taxes or an IT consultant managing a server migration, one small oversight can lead to a massive lawsuit. We help you ring-fence your personal and business assets against these claims.

If you provide expertise, advice, or a specialized service for a fee, you are exposed.
- Accountants & Bookkeepers
- IT & Technology Consultants

Core Coverages for Professionals
Professional Liability (E&O)
The foundation of your protection. Covers legal defense costs and settlements if a client sues you for negligence, mistakes, or failure to deliver.
- Defense Costs (even for groundless suits)
- Copyright Infringement
- Libel & Slander
Cyber Liability
You hold sensitive client data (Tax IDs, passwords, financial records). If you are hacked, you are liable. This is no longer optional for modern firms.
- Data Breach Notification Costs
- Ransomware Extortion Payments
- Forensic IT Investigations
Business Owners Policy (BOP)
A cost-effective bundle that combines General Liability with coverage for your office equipment, computers, and furniture.
- Office Slip-and-Fall Liability

Common Questions from Professionals
Do I need E&O if I don't make mistakes?
Yes. You can be sued even if you did nothing wrong. Defense costs alone can bankrupt a small firm. E&O pays for your legal defense even if the suit is groundless.
Does my General Liability cover my advice?
No. General Liability covers bodily injury (someone tripping in your office). It explicitly excludes "Professional Services." You need E&O for that.
I work from home. Do I need insurance?
Homeowners insurance generally excludes business liabilities. At minimum, you need an endorsement, but likely a separate BOP to cover your business equipment and liabilities.
What is "Claims-Made" coverage?
Most E&O policies are "Claims-Made," meaning you must have the policy active both when the work was done AND when the claim is filed. We help you avoid gaps in this critical timeline.
